Holy Family began its journey almost 100 years ago.
On 23 January 1927, the foundation stone for the new Holy Family of Nazareth Church was laid on land acquired at the corner of Highfield Road and Lane Cove Road (now the Pacific Highway). Only a few short months later, on 2 July 1927, the new church school was blessed and officially opened — and so our story begins!
Our school is founded upon and guided by the traditions of the Brigidine charism. The motto of the Brigidine Sisters, “Strength and Gentleness” (Fortiter et Suaviter), continues to inspire our school community today.
For many decades, Holy Family served the children and families of the local parish, growing in both size and spirit. In 2000, a new school building was opened adjacent to the parish church, providing modern learning spaces while honouring the traditions of those who came before us.
Today, Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Lindfield, continues to flourish as a vibrant, faith-filled community within the Broken Bay Diocese, nurturing each child to grow in knowledge, faith, and love.
