From Australia to the Vatican: A Special Blessing for Anne & John Gray

We are so proud to share that our wonderful Parenting and Engagement Co-ordinator (PEC), Anne, along with her husband John, recently had the incredible honour of meeting Pope Leo XIV in Rome Vatican City.

As Directors of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (PWPN) in Australia, Anne and John were in Rome for meetings with the international leadership team and representatives from 88 countries where the PWPN is active.

The mission of the PWPN is to mobilise Catholics to pray for the needs of humanity and the Church, forming “contemplatives in action” who share in Jesus’ mission of compassion for the world.  During their visit, the Pope personally blessed this important ministry and thanked its members for their dedication and service.

In their volunteer roles, Anne and John lead retreats inspired by the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola, as well as the modern devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Last August, the Lindfield Killara Parish retreat in Gerroa was one such gathering. Anne also facilitates the “Way of the HeART” retreat at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. If you are interested in attending a retreat, please email info@pwpnaustralia.org.au.

We give thanks for their faithful witness and the beautiful work they continue to do in our community and beyond.
